12V 12,000lb Synthetic Rope Winch for 4x4 and Recovery
The Novawinch Stinger 12,000lb is a 12V electric winch supplied with synthetic rope and an aluminium hawse fairlead. It delivers 5,443kg (12,000lb) line pull with IP67 sealing and the DUO wireless/wired control system. Built for 4x4 recovery, trailers and commercial use where lighter, safer rope and reliable control matter.
Synthetic Rope: Lighter, Safer, Easier to Handle
This model is fitted with high-strength synthetic winch rope (26m) instead of steel cable. Synthetic rope offers the same 5.4t capacity but is much lighter, floats in water, and does not store kinetic energy—so if it fails, it drops rather than whipping back. It is easier to handle, does not kink or rust, and is well suited to off-road and recovery use where safety and usability count.
Aluminium Hawse Fairlead
The Stinger synthetic version is supplied with a black aluminium hawse fairlead, designed for use with synthetic rope. The hawse guides the line cleanly and avoids the pinching or abrasion that can occur with roller fairleads when used with synthetic rope.
IP67 Sealing for Wet and Muddy Conditions
The motor and solenoid are IP67 rated for dust and water resistance, so the winch can cope with deep mud, river crossings and harsh weather. Built for the kind of conditions where recovery and loading often happen.
DUO Control: Wireless and Wired
The DUO Control System gives you wireless operation for safe-distance control plus a wired backup. If the remote battery is low or signal is blocked, the wired lead keeps you in control.
Automatic Braking and Load Holding
An automatic load-holding brake helps prevent rollback during lifting and loading, for controlled pulling whether you are recovering a vehicle or loading equipment.
