The Rydam 4 Tonne Flat Duplex Webbing Sling offers upgraded lifting capacity for loads that exceed the limits of standard 3-tonne straps. Coded in international Grey, this sling provides a safe working load of 4,000kg while remaining compact and easy to handle in tight spaces.

Engineered for Performance

  • 4 Tonne Capacity: Fully dyed in the international standard Grey for instant 4,000kg WLL identification.
  • High-Strength Duplex: Constructed from double-layer (Duplex) high-tenacity polyester (PES), offering excellent durability and shock absorption properties.
  • Load Protection: The wide, flat webbing surface reduces pressure points on the load, making it ideal for lifting fragile or finished machinery that could be damaged by chain slings.
  • Certified Safety: Manufactured to BS EN 1492-1 with a strict 7:1 safety factor and reinforced eyes to prevent wear at the hook point.

What colour is a 4 Tonne sling?

A 4 Tonne webbing sling is colour-coded Grey. This is the standard colour under BS EN 1492-1, distinguishing it from the 3T (Yellow) and 5T (Red) slings.

Can I use a 4 Tonne sling to lift 8 Tonnes?

Yes, but ONLY in a Basket Hitch. When you cradle the load with the sling (passing it under the load and attaching both eyes to the hook), the capacity doubles to 8,000kg. However, in a standard straight lift, you must strictly adhere to the 4,000kg limit.

Is this sling resistant to oil and grease?

Yes. Polyester (PES) has good resistance to oil, grease, and most mineral acids. If the sling becomes dirty with oil or mud, it can be washed with a mild detergent and hung to dry naturally to prolong its lifespan.

Why choose a webbing sling over a chain sling?

For a 4-tonne lift, a chain sling is heavy and can easily damage the surface of the load (scratching paint or denting metal). A polyester webbing sling offers the same 4T capacity but is lightweight, soft to the touch, and non-marring, making it safer for both the operator and the cargo.
