3 Tonne Flat Duplex Webbing Sling (Yellow)
The Rydam 3 Tonne Flat Duplex Webbing Sling is the versatile workhorse of the lifting world. Lightweight yet incredibly strong, this yellow sling is the ideal choice for everyday lifting tasks, from moving pallets of materials to positioning medium-sized machinery.
Engineered for Reliability
- 3 Tonne Capacity: Fully dyed in the international standard Yellow for instant 3,000kg Working Load Limit (WLL) identification.
- Duplex Construction: Manufactured with a double layer (Duplex) of high-tenacity polyester (PES), providing superior resistance to abrasion and wear compared to single-ply straps.
- Non-Damaging Lift: The soft, flexible webbing conforms to the load's shape, gripping securely without scratching or denting finished surfaces which is perfect for handling painted steel or machined parts.
- Certified Safety: Strictly manufactured to BS EN 1492-1 with a 7:1 safety factor and reinforced eyes for long-term durability.
What colour is a 3 Tonne sling?
A 3 Tonne webbing sling is always Yellow. This follows the international colour-coding system (BS EN 1492-1), allowing riggers and safety officers to verify the capacity of the sling from a distance instantly.
Can I use this sling to lift a 5-tonne load in a basket hitch?
Yes. When used in a "Basket Hitch" (sling passed under the load with both eyes on the hook), the capacity doubles. This 3T sling is rated for 6,000kg (6t) in a basket hitch, making it safe for a 5-tonne lift in that specific configuration.
Is polyester webbing resistant to UV light?
Yes, High Tenacity Polyester (PES) has excellent resistance to UV degradation, making it suitable for outdoor use on construction sites. However, long-term exposure to direct sunlight can eventually weaken the fibres, so we recommend storing slings in a dry, dark place when not in use.
How do I inspect the sling for damage?
Check the sling before every lift. Look for cuts on the edges, heavy abrasion (fuzziness), damaged stitching, or chemical burns. If the internal load-bearing fibres are exposed or if the data label is missing/illegible, the sling must be withdrawn from service immediately.
